With its branches open for a combined total of more than 5,400 hours a week, Selco chose to take a responsible and proactive approach to energy efficiency, allowing the company to keep its environmental impact as low as possible.
Project Type: Refurbishment project to upgrade to LED
Why? Provide a well-lit uniform environment to increase sales whilst also implementing an energy efficient lighting solution
Solution? Using HiPak Pro, Aquaforce, Omega Pro and THORNeco’s Julie, alongside sensors operating in tandem with each individual LED luminaire.
Result? (here’s some examples):
Reading Branch: 141,565 kWh to 86,774 kWh (decrease of 40%)
Tyldsley Branch: Decrease of 55% kWh usage
Croydon Branch: Savings of £30,000 in 1 year
Carbon Reduction : 69 Tonnes of carbon per store, per year: Equivalent of 200,000 trees or 89 football pitches
